Realm of Insanity

Forever in our hearts

A few weeks ago our dear friend Gulth (Jesse Fulsom) passed away.  All members of RoI past and present would like to say:

Gulth (Jesse),

We love you.  Your presence and friendship will be dearly missed, but it will never be forgotten.  Rest in peace Gbaby.

~ Love,
Your Brothers and Sisters in Realm of Insanity

Congratulations on beating Kerafyrm RoI, you are now being absorbed by Druzzil Ro

Happy Holidays from RoI. We hope you enjoy this elf card brought to you by Ganand, Gindainy, Liddar, Veck and Migg

So after two long grueling weeks (haha) <Realm of Insanity> managed to take out all ten events in Crystallos. Not even twenty four hours after the mighty (mighty weak) dragon died, Sony Online informed us that we will be server merging. This is definitely something we have been looking forward to due to the lack of recruits on our current server. The downside is we will not be carrying over our server name! Effective January 21st The Combine server will be merging with Druzzil Ro (Xev) to make the new server, Druzzil Ro (Xev, Combine). Well enough about server merges, it’s time for you guys to see what we’ve been up to this past week.

And some dead Dwagons

And then of course the amazing loot to follow!

A Bloody Week

Anyone who frequents the eqplayers boards will know that much of the Everquest community feels that the Bloody Kithicor raid in SoD is severely overtuned.  While <Realm of Insanity> does not dispute this, we simply don’t care.  Last night RoI became the 21st guild serverwide to defeat the event, and the first to do it without the help of Kerafyrm gear.

Now, you might be asking yourself, why doesn’t RoI have Kerafyrm gear?  Well don’t worry, that will change soon.  This week marked just our second week adventuring in Crystallos and we have now defeated 7 out of 10 events in the zone by defeating the Earth and Ice Dragons this week, both of them on our first attempt.  Being that we only have 36 people flagged for this zone because of superawesomefun time lockouts, I think it’s safe to say that we are on a good pace to slay the Sleeper in the near future.

As you can see, this was a good week for RoI.  Here is a pic with proof of our epic victories, as well as some of the fun we had along the way.

Dragonslaying 101

Everyone knows that the best part of EQ is slaying big scary dragons.  For the last 5 weeks <Realm of Insanity> has been hard at work farming Meldrath so that they could experience some of the dragon killing fun in Crystallos.  This week we decided we were sick of waiting around to join in on the fun and went into The Lair of the Awakened with only 30 people flagged.  We were expecting to go in there and get our ass kicked, but it turned out we couldn’t have been more wrong.  In just two days RoI managed to defeat all of the mini events free loot events and even slay our first dragon.  Our good friend Tjudawos was sleeping with the fishes by the end of Thursday night.  On our way there I managed to get what is quite possibly the coolest looking screenshot in Everquest history.

After staring in awe at the awesomeness that was the fire dragon Tjudawos, we remembered that the reason we were there was to slay dragons.  A few attempts later, the dragon was no more and we celebrated.  Here is a pic of the victorious RoI team and some of the loots we acquired on our first trip into Crystallos.
